Hello there, the first thing I'd like to say is welcome to The Twilight Cafe, thank you for joining, and I really do hope that you enjoy your stay here. I know that some of you are here due to the requested post packages, board hops, post exchange programs elsewhere, however, I am hoping that you'll get a feel for this place and decide to stick around.

The reason I am posting this notice is to inform you of why you may have posted in some areas here and have seen no increase in your post count. The reason is because post counts are disabled in some areas here.

To be fair, there are only 3 areas that have the post count Disabled.. and they are the "Board Hop," "Intros and Member News," and the "News & Updates" sections. The forum games is hidden from the "have yet to post" and "new members" groups until you reach 20 posts.. where, at 20 posts, you are automatically placed in the "Members" group. The forum games area has been deleted.

The "Quizzes" (sub-forum located in the "Survey Says.." forum) area in addition to many others that have post count enabled, will become visible the moment you reach 20 posts. It should be noted that, if you are on a Board Hop, that this does NOT apply to you as confirmed hoppers will already have access to this area.

The only areas, that are visible and post-disabled, are the "News & Updates" and "Intros and Member News" sections. The reason for this is because the Announcements area is more or less a log of changes and news regarding the forum. I didn't want my continual updates to add to my post count, and so I had decided to disable counts in that area.

The reason that the Intros area is post count disabled, is because in the past, there have been members posting in every topic in that area only to get their post count up for the exchange. If you still want to welcome new members, then that is fine, but it isn't fair to me if you only did it to complete your exchange, especially, if I did not do it on your forum.

If you are on a board hop, then you should definitely take note of this as this applies to you as well. The only area that is hidden, and has the post count disabled, is the Board Hop section, and you MUST be a Board Hop member to have access to it. If you are a Board Hop member, then you should know exactly what to do to contact me, and what info you should include when you do contact me. The reason I have disabled the post counts in these areas is because like with post exchanges, I have noticed a few members posting ONLY in this section, DESPITE the fact that I have posted throughout their forums.

I don't think that it is fair that I put a lot of thought into my posts on their forums, only for them to reciprocate by posting ONLY in that area. I would not do this on your forums, and so, I'd like you to show me the same courtesy. In other words, you shouldn't do anything on my forum, that you wouldn't want me to do on yours. Now if you only want to post in the hop section, then that is fine, but by the same token, if I am on your forum, and I do the same, it would not be fair for you to expect me to be active in topics throughout your forum, when you only post in one topic on mine. So again, I say, that you shouldn't do anything on my forum that you wouldn't want me to do on yours.

Now, if you are on a post exchange, and you just want to do your required posts, have it count, and then move on, as quickly as possible, then feel free to post in the other areas. However, I'd like to ask that you please don't post one-word, smiley or image posts or SPAM in the areas that do not allow it. I did not spam your forum, and so, I'd really appreciate it if you didn't spam mine.

There really is no place for that in any of those areas, including "Shooting The Breeze.." If you'd simply like to post, and then move on, then feel free to do so in the Polls (<= click.) area.. this way you can post and then move on.

Lastly, there is a 5 second flood control enabled on this forum, so please make sure that you don't post too quickly. In order for your posts to go through, they must have 15 characters or more. (click here for more info) This was set up due to spamming by those here on a post exchange. These people were posting one word replies and smiles, in topics here, DESPITE the fact that I did not do that on their forum. If you have already signed up, but cannot post, please read this. That is all I have to say on this issue, I just wanted to give you all a heads up on where the best areas to quickly rack up your post count were. I didn't want you guys to think that I was cheating, or trying to scam you in anyway.. If I have more posts on your forum then I agreed to, then chances are I intend on sticking around.. so if you like, feel free to stick around here.
